Job Overview:
As a Superintendent at DIG, you'll oversee field operations across multiple projects, ensuring timely and profitable completion. Collaborating closely with Foremen, you'll address daily challenges, make informed decisions, and prioritize safety and efficiency. Keeping the project team informed, you'll monitor costs, schedules, and quality, ensuring seamless execution.
Responsibilities and Duties:
As the Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects. Your duties will include:
1. Strategic Scheduling: Skillfully coordinate construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure optimal project sequencing and timely completion.
2. Quality Control Oversight: Conduct thorough quality control assessments to uphold our commitment to excellence in every aspect of the work being performed.
3. Contract Compliance: Ensure that subcontractors fully adhere to the contracted scope of work, addressing any deviations promptly and effectively.
4. Safety and Compliance Management: Identify and address any instances of non-compliance with safety regulations, local jurisdictions, and client specifications, prioritizing the well-being of our team and stakeholders.
5. Daily Reporting: Maintain comprehensive and accurate daily activity reports, providing valuable insights to the project manager regarding progress, challenges, and achievements.
6. On-Site Supervision: Assume a hands-on approach by actively overseeing construction activities at one or multiple job sites, promptly resolving any conflicts or issues that may arise.
7. Proactive Problem-Solving: Anticipate and address conflicts in construction progress, proactively communicating with the project team to facilitate timely resolutions.
8. Site Inspections: Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress, identify deficiencies, and assist in future planning, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
9. Deficiency Resolution: Collaborate with DIG crews and subcontractors to address and rectify any identified deficiencies promptly, maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
10. Documentation and Reporting: Ensure all critical reports and documentation, including daily photos, are accurately drafted and communicated to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
11. Meeting Participation: Attend and actively contribute to project pre-construction meetings, subcontractor pre-construction meetings, and client meetings, ensuring all supporting documents are prepared and presented professionally.
12. Financial Management: Identify potential financial impacts and scope changes, communicating them effectively to the project team and supporting the project manager in making informed decisions.
13. Subcontractor Management: Review and submit subcontractor work production for payment approvals, fostering positive relationships and efficient collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
14. Safety Toolbox Meetings: Facilitate mandatory safety toolbox meetings, promoting a culture of safety and compliance among all team members.
15. Project Documentation: Coordinate the creation and storage of all project documents in compliance with DIG protocols, ensuring accessibility and accuracy for future reference.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required; relevant 2- or 4-year degree preferred
• Minimum 7 years' experience in dry utility construction with a proven track record of leadership and ability to manage a project from start to finish successfully
• OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certification is a plus
• Proficiency in interpreting drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; Bid2Win knowledge a plus
• Strong communication and leadership skills, bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
• Valid Driver's License and ability to pass a federal background check
