Job Overview:
DIG is seeking dedicated Laborers to join our construction team. As a Laborer, you will play a vital role in supporting our projects by performing a variety of physical tasks on-site. Under the supervision of the Foreman, you will assist with the installation of dry utility infrastructure, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is motivated, reliable, and eager to learn, with a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the installation of dry utility systems, including power and fiber infrastructure, under the direction of the Foreman.
• Perform physical labor tasks, such as digging trenches, lifting materials, and operating basic construction tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring that tools and materials are stored properly and that safety protocols are followed.
• Follow instructions and complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently, demonstrating a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols on-site.
• Assist in the preparation of materials and tools needed for daily operations, ensuring readiness for tasks.
• Communicate effectively with team members, reporting any issues or concerns to the Foreman promptly.
• Support the crew in troubleshooting and resolving problems that may arise during construction activities.
• Work collaboratively with other crew members to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Foreman to facilitate smooth project operations and ensure safety and quality standards are met.
Qualifications:
• No minimum experience required. Some dry utility project experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, not required.
• Solid communication skills with the ability to work effectively in teams and resolve basic conflicts independently or with management support.
• Ability to work with supervision and flexibility to accommodate overtime, night shifts, and weekend work when required.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 pounds
