Job Overview:

We are in search of an experienced Project Coordinator to support the project management team while building a strong foundation for individual career growth. The ideal candidate will possess a basic understanding of construction principles, excellent communication abilities, and meticulous attention to detail. A typical work week is divided between office and field responsibilities, which offers a unique opportunity to learn many aspects of the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee project document control for both office and job site locations, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
2. Regularly communicate project progress and updates to project leadership and stakeholders, maintaining transparency.
3. Coordinate with subcontractors to meet project needs, managing all associated documentation.
4. Develop and maintain material delivery schedules, ensuring timely procurement and availability.
5. Review, manage, and distribute project drawings and documentation, ensuring alignment with project goals.
6. Interpret contract drawings and specifications to guide project execution.
7. Track materials, monitor production rates, and conduct cost projections to ensure budget adherence.
8. Manage change orders, including generating and maintaining a detailed change order log.
9. Compile and organize all project documents and resources for easy access and reference.
10. Proactively identify and address changes in project scope or schedule to minimize disruptions.
11. Perform material takeoffs, including pricing research, and coordinate vendor and subcontractor selection.
12. Analyze project plans and specifications to assist in creating accurate change order estimates.
13. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing.
14. Present and discuss project estimates with company leadership.
15. Examine blueprints, specifications, and other documents to define project scope and requirements.
16. Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers for accuracy and competitiveness prior to award.
17. Collaborate on generating RFIs with the team, customer, or end user.
18. Develop work schedules with input from the team, customer, or end user.
19. Perform other duties as assigned by project leadership.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in dry utility construction or a related field.
• Understanding of construction processes and the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Bid2Win software is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass a federal background check.
• Strong alignment with company values, emphasizing safety and quality.
• High attention to detail.
• Familiarity with construction industry practices, materials, and methods.
• Experience with BlueBeam Revu software is beneficial.
